October is my…
favorite month of the year. I love the colors of the trees as their foliage turns. I love the brilliant oranges and reds, yellows and finally, at the end of the month, the bare skeletons. Ghost stories, the tales of woe, hot apple cider, and carving pumpkins. I love it all. I love to be scared out of my mind by a good story. And where I can produce some fairly terrifying work of my own, I am still struggling with being able to watch certain stories on film.
Take Pet Cemetery for example… I ran out of the theater. When my husband and I were dating, we attempted to watch, The Shining. I hit him and ran out of the house. I suppose in a way, it’s much easier to read the story, than actually watch it. At least for me, it’s a little less violent!
Recently, the amazing Wendy Potocki invited me to participate in her month-long Give-a-way event, Halloweenpalooza: Stalking Moon. I wrote a short story for it, which is featured today! Also, I am giving away my award-winning short story, Stone God’s Wife, and will be giving away a copy of my book, Curse of the Seven 70s!
